"Soul on Ice”
- Understanding the value and depth of Black Culture This is a show of Black Culture which includes the largest number of Minnesota Black Artists. Over Sixty Artist's will be participating in this show

We exist in quantity and are living and working here in the state of Minnesota, this show will prove it!

This show is sponsored by the artist collective called T.A.W.U., (the art within us), an artist support group sponsored by Obsidian Arts, will curate this phenomenal group exhibition.

The title is inspired from the renowned author and activist, Eldridge Cleaver. His book, entitled “Soul on Ice”, reflects on the turbulent times of the civil rights movement, an era of revolution and change. He made important strides in building a culture consciousness that is still very active in our lives today.

The artist are challenged to create their interpretation and understanding of the enormous value and great depth of Black Culture.
